Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mesmeride ("Mesmeride", "we", "us", or "our") — the website, web application, and mobile app, including white-label apps built on the Mesmeride platform for individual organizer brands.

By creating an account or otherwise using Mesmeride, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Mesmeride on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to both you and the organization.

2. The Service

Mesmeride is an event management platform. Organizers use it to create and run events; attendees, speakers, sponsors, and event staff use it to register, attend, present at, sponsor, or staff those events.

Mesmeride is a platform provider, not the organizer of any individual event. Organizers are solely responsible for their events — content, schedule, venue, compliance with applicable law, and any representations made to attendees.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. See our Privacy Policy for more on data collected from minors.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, is used fraudulently, or poses a security risk to the platform or other users.

4. Organizer Responsibilities

Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of their event listings, ticket pricing, capacity limits, and any policies specific to their event (e.g. age restrictions, refund windows).

Organizers must have all rights necessary to the content they upload (branding, session descriptions, media) and must not use Mesmeride to host unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent events.

5. Tickets, Payments & Refunds

Ticket payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Mesmeride does not store your full card details.

Refunds are governed by the organizer's stated refund policy for that event. Where an organizer permits refunds, Mesmeride processes them back through Stripe to the original payment method. Where an event is cancelled, contact the organizer or our support team for next steps.

Mesmeride may charge organizers a platform or service fee on ticket sales; any such fee is disclosed to the organizer at checkout setup, not to attendees separately.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use Mesmeride to harass, impersonate, or defraud others; upload malicious code or attempt to breach the platform's security; scrape or bulk-extract data without permission; or use the check-in, badge, or lead-capture features for purposes other than the event you're participating in.

Chat, Q&A, polls, and social wall content must not be unlawful, harassing, or infringing. We may remove content or restrict access that violates this section.

7. Intellectual Property

Mesmeride and its licensors own all rights in the platform itself (software, design, trademarks). Organizers and users retain ownership of the content they upload, and grant Mesmeride a license to host, display, and process it as needed to operate the service.

8. Third-Party Services

Mesmeride relies on third-party providers to operate — including Stripe for payments and Sentry for error monitoring. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Mesmeride is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mesmeride is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, or from any event, organizer, or third party you interact with through it.

10. Termination

You may stop using Mesmeride and delete your account at any time (see our account deletion page). We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, non-payment of applicable fees, or as required by law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated Terms here with a revised effective date, and where changes are material, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
